Hi everyone, welcome to another QGIS tutorial. In this article, we will learn how to clip a point layer with a polygon layer in QGIS. In the previous lesson, we learned how to clip a raster layer with a polygon. In this example, I have a point layer and then we will clip or cut it with a polygon layer.
We will use the tool “Clip point with polygon” under the SAGA toolbox. You can also use the search box to search for this specific tool. Open the tool and then specify the required details as follow
In the Points layer, make sure to select your point layer. And then select the polygon layer that will be used to cut the point layer. There are two clipping options. One layer for all points and a separate layer for each polygon. Click Run and then your clipped points should appear.
