Hello everyone, welcome to my Global Mapper tutorial. Today we are going to learn how to convert Shapefile (SHP) to DXF format using Global Mapper. I am using Global Mapper 18.0 full version on this tutorial. Global Mapper is my favorite GIS application when it comes to file conversion, Global Mapper supports many GIS formats including DXF, SHP, Tab and many others.

Convert SHP to DXF on Global Mapper
Step 1. Open the Shapefile on Global Mapper. You can do this by using File | Open Data file. Once the shapefile is opened, now proceed to the next step.
Step 2. Go to File | Export Vector/Lidar format. Select DXF from the list.
Press OK and the DXF export option will popup. You can specify some DXF options here. For example, you can specify the export bound.
Press OK when done and you will be asked to specify the export location. Then the export process should start immediately.
