Geodatabase is a special way of managing your GIS data in ArcGIS system. Today I am going to learn how to create new file geodatabase on ArcGIS 10.6. Steps to create new file geodatabase on ArcGIS 10.6
Open ArcMap and click Add Data button. On the new opened window, click the New File Geodatabase button. See the following picture
Type the new file geodatabase
You can also do the following to create new file geodatabase. Open the Catalog, right click on the folder where you want to save the geodatabase. Select New | File Geodatabase.
Type the name for the new geodatabase and press Enter. You can rename your file geodatabase later.
