Welcome to another Micromine tutorial. It’s been a while I am not writing about Micromine in this blog. Today, I am going to show you how to import DXF into 3D Wireframe in Micromine. 3D DXF is a pretty common file format that can be used in various programs including Micromine. Since I don’t have any compatible DXF viewer, I cannot show you the original file in DXF format.
Let’s start. First, prepare the DXF file and then Open Micromine. In this tutorial, I am using Micromine version 11.0. If you have a newer version, the steps should be pretty similar.
Steps to Import Wireframe from 3D DXF in Micromine
- Go to File >> Import >> Wireframes
- Select DXF in the input file
- Browse the DXF file using the browse button
- Specify the output wireframe
- Press OK
When done, you can display the newly imported wireframe using the Wireframe menu from the Vizex tool.
